We are currently seeking an experienced Tax Associate in Tempe, AZ.

Job Purpose/Summary: Preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses. Create reports, notices, schedules in addition to assigned work under close supervision.

Essential Job Duties:
- Utilizes client input and data, firm-specific software, and industry knowledge to produce accurate, timely tax related documents including corporate, partnership, individual and trust tax returns
- Work in conjunction with Supervisor or Manager to communicate with clients, Ronald Blue Trust advisors, or outside parties
- Performs light research projects in the response to issues arising from preparation of a return or from a client or client-contact's question(s)
- Calculates depreciation and amortization and prepares/reconciles account schedules as required to create accurate work papers to complete a client's return
- Handle and maintain bookkeeping duties, sales taxes, payroll taxes, and other tax related reporting.
- Implement effective organizational and time management skills to appropriately manage multiple priorities
- Strives to attain and maintain certifications and expertise in technical areas related to position's responsibilities

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA candidate required
- 0 - 4 years tax experience within an accounting firm

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
- Excellent project management abilities
- Self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within deadline constraints
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Capability to learn new systems and process information quickly

- Dedication to superior client service.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and responsiveness
