Tax ManagerDescriptionOur client is a growing, locally owned public accounting and business advisory firm located in Mesa, Arizona. The firm offers a great culture, work/life balance, top-notch benefits and ability to work remote!The firm is seeking a motivated tax professional to join their Tax team as a Tax Supervisor or Manager. Responsibilities include working with a diverse client base, reviewing complex and preparing federal and state tax returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, Individuals and tax-Exempt Organizations.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDirects and supervises the work of Associates and Senior AssociatesReviews tax returnsPrepares complex tax returnsRecognizes unusual M-1 itemsPrepares/reviews multi-state tax returnsPrepares/reviews UNICAP and deferred tax calculationsPrepares/reviews accrual to cash conversionsUnderstands consolidated tax return mechanicsInitiates quarterly and year-end tax planning discussionsDesired Skills and ExperienceProfessional Certification - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) requiredBachelor's degree in accounting, business or related field requiredMBA or other relevant advanced degree (Master's in Accountancy/Tax) preferredFive (5) or more years of tax experience in public accounting, including one (1) year of supervisory experienceStrong written and verbal communications skillsExperience with ProSystem fx Tax preferredAbility to work in fixed asset software programsExperience with online tax research toolsType: direct hire
